Exhaust Valve (Air Release Valve)

Technical Requirement:
  1. Design & Manufacture: CJ/T 217
  2. Face-to-Face: Manufacturer standard
  3. End Flanges: GB/T 17241.6
  4. Inspection & Test: CJ/T 217 / GB/T 13927

Description

The Exhaust Valve is a flanged automatic air release valve installed at high points of water pipelines. A buoyant float closes the outlet when the valve is full of water and drops to open it whenever air accumulates, automatically venting trapped air. Removing air pockets prevents flow restriction, inaccurate metering, corrosion and pressure surges in the system.

Technical Specifications:

Key Product Features:
  1. Automatic Air Release: Continuously vents air while the line is under pressure.
  2. Vacuum Protection: Admits air during draining to prevent pipe collapse (combination type).
  3. Stainless Float: Corrosion-free float for long, reliable service.
  4. Drip-Tight Sealing: Elastomer seat closes without leakage at low and high pressures.
  5. Surge Reduction: Removing air pockets helps limit water hammer.
Applications:

Ideal for Water Transmission Mains, Pump Discharge Lines, Heating Systems, and Irrigation Networks. Specifically suited for high points and long pipelines where air accumulation reduces efficiency.
