Description

The Fire Signal Butterfly Valve is a supervised butterfly valve for fire sprinkler and hydrant systems. A gear operator with integrated signal (tamper) switches sends an electrical signal to the fire alarm panel whenever the valve is moved from its normal open position, preventing undetected closure of the water supply. The resilient-seated disc ensures tight shut-off when maintenance isolation is needed.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN16 / 300 PSI (2.1 MPa)
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN300
  • Applicable Medium: Fire water, potable water
  • Operating Temperature: 0°C to 80°C
Main Parts and Materials:
Parts NameMaterials
BodyDuctile Iron QT450-10
DiscDuctile Iron, EPDM-encapsulated
ShaftStainless Steel 2Cr13
Gearbox / IndicatorDuctile Iron housing, position flag
Signal SwitchDual micro-switches, 24V DC / 125–250V AC
Key Product Features:
  1. Supervisory Signal: Built-in switches report valve position to the fire alarm control panel.
  2. Visual Indicator: Position flag shows open or closed status from a distance.
  3. Slow-Closing Gear: Worm gear prevents rapid closure and water hammer.
  4. Encapsulated Disc: Rubber-coated disc gives zero leakage and corrosion protection.
  5. Flanged or Grooved Ends: Available for both connection types.
Applications:

Ideal for Automatic Sprinkler Systems, Fire Hydrant Networks, High-Rise Buildings, and Warehouses & Factories. Specifically suited for fire mains where every valve position must be electrically supervised.
