Grooved Rising Stem Soft-Sealed Gate Valve

Technical Requirement:
  1. Design & Manufacture: CJ/T 216 / GB 5135.6
  2. Face-to-Face: Manufacturer standard
  3. End Connection: Grooved ends to GB 5135.11
  4. Inspection & Test: GB/T 13927

Description

The Grooved Rising Stem Soft Sealed Gate Valve combines a resilient-seated wedge with grooved end connections and an outside screw & yoke (OS&Y) rising stem. The visible stem position shows at a glance whether the valve is open or closed, which is why this design is widely specified for fire protection systems. Grooved ends allow fast installation with standard couplings and no flange bolting.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN16 / 300 PSI (1.6 – 2.1 MPa)
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN300
  • Applicable Medium: Fire water, potable water, neutral liquids
  • Operating Temperature: 0°C to 80°C
Main Parts and Materials:

WedgeDuctile Iron + EPDM
StemStainless Steel 2Cr13
Yoke / HandwheelDuctile Iron
Stem NutBrass HPb59-1
Key Product Features:
  1. Visual Position Indication: The rising stem clearly shows the open or closed state, supporting fire-system inspection.
  2. Grooved Ends: Quick coupling installation reduces labor time and allows easy removal for maintenance.
  3. Resilient Seal: EPDM-encapsulated wedge gives bubble-tight shut-off with a flat, debris-free bottom bore.
  4. Corrosion Protection: Red or blue epoxy coating protects the body inside and out.
  5. Stem Threads Outside the Flow: Threads are kept out of the medium, preventing corrosion and seizure.
Applications:

Ideal for Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Hydrant Networks, Building Water Supply, and HVAC Circulation. Specifically suited for installations where the valve status must be visible and fast grooved-pipe assembly is preferred.
