Ductile Iron Underground Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve

Technical Requirement:
  1. Design & Manufacture: CJ/T 216
  2. Face-to-Face: GB/T 12221
  3. End Flanges: GB/T 17241.6
  4. Inspection & Test: GB/T 13927

Description

The Ductile Iron Underground Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve is a non-rising stem (NRS) resilient-seated gate valve built for buried service. The stem rotates without rising, so the valve has a low installed height and can be operated from street level with a T-key through a surface box. A ductile iron body and fully encapsulated wedge give strength and drop-tight sealing in municipal water mains.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN10 / PN16
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN600
  • Applicable Medium: Potable water, raw water, sewage
  • Operating Temperature: -10°C to 70°C

Key Product Features:
  1. Buried-Service Design: Square operating cap for T-key operation through a valve box, no chamber needed.
  2. Non-Rising Stem: Compact height, ideal for limited cover depth.
  3. Bubble-Tight Seal: EPDM-encapsulated wedge closes on a smooth bore with zero leakage.
  4. High-Strength Body: Ductile iron withstands soil loads and water hammer better than grey iron.
  5. Long-Life Coating: Fusion-bonded epoxy protects against soil and water corrosion.
Applications:

Ideal for Municipal Water Mains, Residential Distribution Networks, Fire Hydrant Branches, and Irrigation Lines. Specifically suited for directly buried installations operated from ground level.
