Description

The PN16 Rising Stem Wedge Gate Valve (Cast Steel) is a cast carbon steel gate valve rated 1.6 MPa (16 kgf/cm²) with an outside screw & yoke rising stem and flexible wedge. Hard-faced sealing surfaces and a bolted bonnet make it suitable for steam, hot water, oil and other industrial media where cast iron is not permitted.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN16 (1.6 MPa / 16 kgf/cm²)
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN600
  • Applicable Medium: Water, steam, oil, gas
  • Operating Temperature: -29°C to 425°C

Key Product Features:
  1. Cast Steel Strength: WCB body handles higher temperatures and thermal shock than iron.
  2. Flexible Wedge: Compensates for seat distortion caused by pipe loads and temperature changes.
  3. Hardfaced Seats: 13Cr or Stellite surfaces resist erosion and galling.
  4. OS&Y Design: Rising stem shows valve position; threads kept out of the medium.
  5. Backseat Function: Allows repacking under pressure when fully open.
Applications:

Ideal for Steam Lines, Petrochemical Plants, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas Piping. Specifically suited for high-temperature isolation duties where steel construction is required.
