Description
The Ductile Iron Rubber Disc Swing Check Valve is a high-performance non-return valve designed primarily for water and sewage applications. Unlike traditional metal-seated valves, this unit features a disc encapsulated in rubber (NBR or EPDM), which provides a bubble-tight seal and significantly reduces water hammer and noise. The body is constructed from Ductile Iron (DI), offering superior strength and impact resistance compared to standard cast iron.
Technical Specifications:
- Nominal Diameter (DN): DN50 – DN300 (Standard Range)
- Nominal Pressure (PN): 1.6 MPa (PN16)
- Suitable Temperature: ≤ 80°C (for NBR/EPDM Rubber)
- Applicable Medium: Water, Sewage, Neutral Liquids
Main Parts and Materials:
| Parts Name | Materials |
| Body, Bonnet | Ductile Iron |
| Disc | Steel + Nylon + NBR/EPDM |
| Seat Ring | NBR/EPDM |
Key Product Features:
- Zero Leakage: The rubber-lined disc ensures a bubble-tight seal against the valve body, preventing backflow effectively.
- Water Hammer Reduction: The resilient rubber seating absorbs shock and closes more quietly than metal-seated valves, reducing the risk of water hammer damage.
- High Strength Body: Constructed from Ductile Iron (DI), which offers higher tensile strength and elongation than grey cast iron, making it suitable for demanding pipelines.
- Corrosion Protection: Typically coated with fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) inside and out to prevent corrosion and maintain water quality.
- Maintenance Friendly: The bolted cover allows for easy access to the disc and hinge mechanism for inspection or replacement.
