Description

The Magnetic Filter is a specialized mechanical and magnetic filtration device designed to remove both solid particulates and fine ferrous contaminants from liquids. Constructed from durable ductile or grey cast iron with a stainless steel screen and rare-earth magnet, it is an essential component for maintaining system efficiency and protecting sensitive equipment in closed-loop heating and cooling applications.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN10 / PN16
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN400
  • Applicable Medium: Water, heating water, chilled water, oil
  • Operating Temperature: -10°C to 120°C
Main Parts and Materials:
Parts NameMaterials
Body, CoverDuctile Iron QT450-10 / Grey Iron HT200
ScreenStainless Steel SS304
Magnetic RodNdFeB magnet in SS304 sleeve
GasketNBR / EPDM
Drain PlugBrass / Carbon Steel
Key Product Features:
  1. Dual Filtration: Stainless mesh removes solids while the magnet captures fine iron particles.
  2. Strong Magnetic Core: High-intensity rare-earth magnet with sealed stainless sleeve.
  3. Y-Pattern Body: Compact, low-pressure-drop design for horizontal or vertical-down installation.
  4. Easy Cleaning: Bolted cover allows quick removal of screen and magnet.
  5. Blow-Down Port: Drain plug for flushing without full disassembly.
Applications:

Ideal for Heating Systems, HVAC Chilled Water, Boiler Feed Lines, and Industrial Circulating Water. Specifically suited for closed loops where magnetite sludge damages pumps and heat exchangers.
