Eccentric Half Ball Valve

Technical Requirement:
  1. Design & Manufacture: Manufacturer standard
  2. Face-to-Face: GB/T 12221
  3. End Flanges: GB/T 17241.6
  4. Inspection & Test: GB/T 13927

Description

The Eccentric Half Ball Valve uses a hemispherical (half-ball) plug mounted on an eccentric shaft. On opening, the plug swings clear of the seat in a cam-like motion, so the sealing surfaces do not rub, and the open valve offers an unobstructed, full-bore passage. This makes it particularly suited to sewage, slurry and fibrous media that would clog or wear conventional valves.

Technical Specifications:
  • Pressure Class: PN10 / PN16
  • Size Range: DN50 – DN1200
  • Applicable Medium: Sewage, slurry, raw water, pulp, media with suspended solids
  • Operating Temperature: -10°C to 120°C
Main Parts and Materials:
Parts NameMaterials
BodyDuctile Iron QT450-10
Half BallDuctile Iron, hard-chrome / rubber-coated
SeatStainless Steel overlay / EPDM / NBR
ShaftStainless Steel 2Cr13 / 304
GearboxCast Iron worm gear
Key Product Features:
  1. Eccentric Action: Plug lifts away from the seat on opening, eliminating friction and wear.
  2. Self-Cleaning: Scraping action at closure removes deposits from the seat.
  3. Full Unobstructed Bore: No cavity for solids to collect; resists clogging.
  4. Tight Shut-Off: Wedge-type closing force increases sealing pressure.
  5. Low Torque: Gear, electric or pneumatic operation with small actuators.
Applications:

Ideal for Wastewater Treatment Plants, Sludge Lines, Mining Slurry, and Pulp & Paper. Specifically suited for dirty or abrasive media where gate and butterfly valves suffer from clogging.
